Happy Mother's Day!
I love Mother's Day! Really, a day to celebrate me and being a mom!? Oh yes, and you better believe that my children (and husband) know that I look forward to it. No, I don't expect lavish gifts or diamonds (although, I wouldn't turn them away) homemade crafts, breakfast in bed and a clean house will do just fine. What I love the most about Mother's Day is that my family stops the hustle and bustle for one day to be together. Because after all, they know that's my favorite gift and is worth more than anything they could buy.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
Make your own Mother's Day Garden with your children like the one above that we found on kiboomu.com
Craft supplies you will need:
■Decorative accessories ( pom poms, rhinestones, glitter, ribbon, buttons, beads, glitter-glue and stickers)
Have the children paint the containers.
Once dry, have the children decorate the containers with rhinestones, glitter, ribbon, buttons, beads and stickers.
For the first flower seed cup, paint it using your fingers and a paint brush, then add a pom pom in the center and flower stickers all around the rim. For the other flower seed cups, use stickers and pom poms (you can find these at any craft store like Michaels, JoAnns or even The Dollar Store.
Place a lid under the container and have the children fill the containers with dirt.
Then, have them plant the seeds and water.
Lastly, have the children label what they’ve planted using a Popsicle stick and stick it in the container.
And, voila, the children now have a Mother’s Day Flower Pot perfect for giving!
